i got really excited when i heard the local makudonarudo (McDo) was launching the McBakery last year. Juls and I loved the bread spread they had in France, (coffee and 3 pastries for 1 euro in 2005) so i was hoping for something like that here. i had always found the McMuffin series a bit too dry for my taste and sadly they don't have longanisa meals in tokyo (asar!).
i had even fooled myself into believing i could get the whole lot (above) for a hundred yen. yeah right. ahahah! it was 100 yen for each. i tried the pan au chocolat and the croissant because i was never a fan of the melon pan (rhyme yun ha! say it three times!) and was very disappointed. they were both quite soggy. i hate soggy bread!
i think they've phased out the McBakery (have they indeed?). anyway, its a good thing they introduced McGriddles right after that debacle. Mmm! Those yummy pancake sandwiches are the best! ;-)
